BSI Kitemark® Associate Consultant Programme Members

BSI Product Services has launched an Associate Consultant Programme (ACP) for the Thatcham BSI Kitemark, designed to help bodyshops adhere to the standard.

The ACP comprises 10 members that have been thoroughly trained on the Thatcham BSI Kitemark scheme and have met a key set of criteria, as laid out by BSI.

In its present form, BSI Product Services is unable to provide consultancy assistance and so the ACP offers credible support to bodyshops wishing to achieve the Kitemark.

Any bodyshop wishing to become a Thatcham BSI Kitemark licensee will have the opportunity to employ the services of an ACP member and, on submitting their application to the scheme, their details will be passed on to at least three ACP members. The ACP members then contact the applicants offering their advice and services, with the aim of ensuring that they are on course to achieving the standard.

ACP also offers a number of benefits to members including the potential to benefit from joint promotional business ventures with BSI, training discounts and, the use of the BSI ACP logo.

Scott Hanney, BSI Sales Manager, said: “Put simply, BSI cannot be teacher and marker and so the Associate Consultant Programme is designed to help bodyshops meet the Thatcham BSI Kitemark standard. The launch of ACP is another boost for the Thatcham BSI Kitemark scheme – which is aimed at raising standards in vehicle repair – and is expected to accelerate the conversion rate for bodyshops wishing to become licensees.”
